9GAG is a magical place. I don't go to 9GAG very often - i see like maybe 1 photo a day - but anyway I haven't seen a single fight/flame war pop up on 9GAG before. And it's probably because most people understand that it's all about humour - so even the insults launched in an Apple/Google debate are oddly muted and never gets out of hand; it's as if the insults are interpreted as good-natured ones. And if a flame war is threatening to break out, there'll always be people chipping in with witty lines or jokes to diffuse the situation. Even the lame "grabs popcorn" line helps to remind people not to fight.
And i suppose Blogger still has its functions - no one posts stuff like this on Facebook, and what i just typed is too long for Twitter. Well, just saying. Okay, back to Part B homework...Oh, who am i kidding...
