Why no baseball?
Stayin' alive, stayin' alive. Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh...

My blog that is. Anyway, if you're not too busy having internships like I am, go watch Major! Lol and Ookiku Furikabutte and Cross Game. Amagad all baseball anime just rock. Why oh why does Singapore only have softball in schools...not saying softball's bad, but at least there's a glamorous future in baseball!

Heck, i wonder why Singapore seems to like to focus on sports which really don't pay (i.e. they don't have leagues that bring in millions of dollars a year). Instead, we have lots of focus on swimming, sailing, table tennis, archery, shooting and bowling. Admirable sports to be sure - heck, swimming and table tennis can be very exciting to watch - but not anywhere near football, american football, basketball, and baseball.

Is it because of facilities? That's why we focus on rugby and have zero focus on american football, right...because american football uses too much equipment? So we can also be a strong sailing country because we have lots of water all around us. That i can understand. But why softball instead of baseball??? Or, to be exact, why all softball and no baseball at all???

Is it so that we can save money on equipment since both girls and guys can play softball at the senior level? That's a ridiculous excuse! Or maybe softball is an Olympic sport or something while baseball is not? That's even more ridiculous!

Here we have a sport that can bring in lots of (economic) success and glory to players, and even if you're not Major League quality, there's still the very successful Japanese and Korean leagues. AND you don't have to be freakin' tall (like in basketball) or be freakin' fit (like in soccer...well you need to be freakin' fit in basketball and american football too) to be a good player! You just need three things - hard work, decent facilities, and to start young. A gym, a backyard's space to pitch, and a batting centre is all you need to train a good player (outfielders are a little different though).

So why not baseball? Oh i rue the lack of opportunities in the Lion City!

Okay, that's all i'm gonna write about that. Oh, i lost $5 at cards and won $50 at slots in Las Vegas btw lol.

Oh and i wanted the Netherlands to win from the very beginning, and it's good that they made it to the finals at least. They kinda deserved to lose to Spain though, although I still hate all those 1-0 victories that Spain churned out. I think most neutrals were supporting Germany towards the end, and they deserved that support.

Well, it's time to do other things. I don't have much time on weekdays now thanks to the long and irregular working hours.
