HAHAHAHAHAHAHA EXAMS ARE FINALLY OVER!!!
The study "break" was such a killer; i wonder if i'm ever going to get over the nightmares i've been having of the semester 2 study period and the exams. Oh my, i'm totally not made for this. Anyway, it appears that my blog has died in the midst of the exams. Ohwell. What to do. I wonder if resuscitation is remotely possible.
Lots of things have happened over this past semester...like the cursed LAWR moots and memorials, Valentine's Day, my computer failing, Eyeshield 21, exams exams exams...
Actually, apart from Eyeshield 21 and Valentine's Day, i can't think of any event in the last semester that was good (Eyeshield 21, by the way, is a great Japanese anime/manga about American Football). At the moment at least. Sigh...i really hated the past few months.
Well, all that is over! For the next three months at least. Of course, i'll try to do a bit of reading up in my spare time, but it's pretty inefficient to study for days and months before lessons even begin, just so it can save some hours during the study break (Since you're bound to forget nearly everything by the time school's over and the next study break begins). People might say that those few hours can make a LOT of difference, and indeed i think that there is much sense in such a way of thinking, but i've also come to realise that burning out is not just an excuse...IT REALLY HAPPENS. So there really is no point wasting weeks to save those few hours later on if you start school with zero energy and with a feeling of pure jealousy that other people in school seem to have fully enjoyed their holiday while your own "enjoyment" had consisted of half-f*ck neither-here-nor-there guilt-filled recreation.
Some people seem to be able to avoid the burnout effortlessly, but i don't think i have that kind of tolerance. Call me a slacker or whatever - i don't care.
In any case, i'm not even sure if i have much spare time during this summer break. Just take a look at my recreation/work list:
Recreation:
Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core (PSP)
Persona 4 (PS2)
Fallout 3 (PC)
ALL my anime/manga backlot
Basketball
Mahjong..?
Time with Coco
Work:
Law Orientation 2009!!! (i'm Rag chairperson...this is gonna take up the bulk of my holidays i fear...)
Fixing my desktop
Fixing Terence's PSP (SIGH i swear that i have no idea why the PSP suddenly can't charge anymore...)
Physical conditioning (bulking up)
Okay, well, to an extent, Law Orientation is SUPPOSED to be a very fun time, so i should continue with this sad state of self deceit. And physical conditioning is actually pretty fun LOL. I'm not exactly into BODY-BUILDING and stuff like that, but there IS something enjoyable about watching my diet and doing weights regularly and watching the muscles grow. HAHAHA okay fine, i'm just a vain narcissist - i don't care.
I hope i still have some time to sleep. Speaking of sleep, i'd better go sleep now. I'm planning to fix my two faulty devices tomorrow...hopefully everything will go smoothly!
Oh, by the way, i just came back from Redang, Malaysia on a Rag 08 twenty-five-member holiday! It was pretty fun, and the snorkeling was decent, although - as usual - the hotel room was slightly below the proper standard. I'm not sure if it's because Malaysian hotels are all bad. But still, Genting's four-star hotel had some kind of cockroach infestation the last time i went there, and this five-star resort in Redang seemed more like a glorified motel. And the toilet conditions themselves were at about the same level as a simple chalet. I saw flies. And small jumping spiders. Shavers, shaving cream, toothbrush and toothpaste were all not provided, and the soap and shampoo weren't all that great (a bit too particular i know, but still, you'd expect much more from five-stars). The food, although pretty good, was nothing to brag about, the swimming pool was pretty crowded all the time, the massage parlour was quite expensive (at RM120 for one hour's massage) and the water boiler they provided us was RUSTY.
Still, no cockroach infestation. And for that i am grateful. Anyway...i did say i was going to sleep, right.
