A very very long post...
Woohoo! A levels are over! I guess i can say a big GOODBYE to examinations...until next saturday's SATs of course..-.- Well, after THAT is over, i can say goodbye to being forced to do things i don't wanna do! Erm...until NS that is. Or is that the New York trip...lol kidding! Haha you know what my sister called me? A "poor-rich kid"..haha which IS kinda true i guess. I mean, i'm going on an all expenses paid trip (er..by parents that is) to New York and Niagara Falls and i'm COMPLAINING? Go get a life, Greg! Oh wait a sec, my mum's calling me downstairs. Guess i'll have to do that even if i don't want to...=

Ahwell, i guess i've gotta talk about what happened on Thursday in order to make this more of a blog than just a dumb-ass column. Hmm..but it wasn't much i think. First we went to watch Harry Potter at Marina Square after bio exam. I must say, this Harry Potter's definitely darker than the previous 3, but who says it was scary? I think scary movies need shocks and tonnes of suspense, which this one didn't..The movie was very funny and the visuals were really spectacular, but it kept zipping from one scene to the next. Probably because the book was really long and they had to fit it into the required timeframe. But because of that, there wasn't any proper linking done, which really confused non-Potter readers like me. I suppose the lack of characterisation done could be due to the shortness of the movie too. I guess they didn't have much choice.(ironic isn't it...'cos the movie's way over 2hrs!!)

Plus Potter and Ronald Weasley look too old to be 14!! And to think that the reporter kept saying Harry was 12...hahahahaha :D And Hermione (a.k.a. Emma Watson) isn't TT pretty...like, looks nice but nothin special. But i suppose she's gotta have a few more years. Haha i remember saying before the movie that she wasn't really my type..(to which my friends replied "Haha! As if YOUR opinion mattered Greg!!") Well, at least Ms Watson's MUCH better looking than Potter's gal! Gosh, i think i can pick out 50 girls in VJ who're hotter than her! And Ms Katie Leung probably had all that makeup on! Ok, i'm being quite mean. Actually she looks quite sweet lah. Lol and i DO like her accent.

Anyway, moving on from Potter (lol i do have a tendency to rant and go out of point...) the whole bunch of us...which numbered like eleven, went to Carl's Jr where we ate super big burgers. My first time there, so it was all quite weird. I finished last once again, thanks to a certain desire to remove my onions and tomatoes and eating them separately before muching on the burger, coupled with this incessant need to talk at the meal table.. (oh but at least i finished everything) After that, i went with Celine to find the right bus-stop to head home, 'cos i decided i didn't wanna play badminton after all.

Went with my mum to go to some Sitex thing after that, around 5pm. It's some computer-gadget fair. Quite cool because everything's at lower prices than usual...that i can confirm, but individual PC components weren't sold. I had the feeling that the fair was catered to the general public - the average Joes who aren't so knowledgeable about computers. Like duh right. That's where the money is. So there were a lot of ready made PCs, notebooks, LCD monitors, keyboards, mice, mp3 players, digital cameras and external hard-disks on sale, but nothing INSIDE the PC case, which was what i was interested in. (like the AMD booth didn't even sell processors) I felt that some of the salespeople didn't know their stuff (What kind of hard-disk?Err...normal hard-disk lah. This computer has 512mb of RAM. What kind of RAM? Err...Processor what model? What core? Err...) and some booths had DJs who would announce what's on sale to everyone. Some of these DJs didn't KNOW what they were talking about, so they read everything directly from the brochure, which was damn funny! "Wow, and this computer has 256mb of RAM..." Lol she DOES realise that that's a BAD THING doesn't she?? =D (note: i'm not sure what she said EXACTLY, but it WAS something like that.) Ok...i realise this is really geek talk. So i'm going to stop. Right now.

Just before i left i saw Sonia, one of Dory's friends, at some UOB booth..i think. At least it totally looked like her and dory confirmed she was working at some UOB thing. Gosh, why so hardworking? At her age i might not even be out of my pyjamas at that time.

Oh but i'm not done! This entry has some ways to go i fear. Anyway i left eventually 'cos i realised that if i stuck around any longer and continued asking salespeople er...sensitive questions within earshot of dozens of people..well, i'd really be a party pooper. So i left, ate dinner and went home.

It was dota for the rest of the day. Sigh, lost 4 times out of 4 today. Personal record wasn't much better. My post-er..chem paper 1 record reads like 1 win 9 losses. I've fallen so far behind the rest. I need to play more often and read up about all these new heroes and items. Haha but people'll probably think, like, why can't you just stop playing and move on to something else? To that, well, i'm not really sure...perhaps it's because of some darn ancient masculine mindset that i can't give up without a fight? Haha yeah i know that's full of shit. I guess it's because most of my classmates and friends play it..especially the ones i'm closer to in school. It's what holds many of us together..BEN would call it the new basketball. So somehow, I feel that i have to keep playing it or i might lose a link with the rest...or something along those lines. And while i'm still playing it, i'll have to improve. And it may sound childish, but i want to get back to my winning ways again.

Dota's quite addictive, but i don't think that it's THAT big a problem for me. Already i'm getting slightly sick of it. Maybe it's the losses, but i don't think so. I'm feeling empty for some reason. I'm not exactly enjoying post-A lvls as yet (the 1 day of it to be fair), and i have the feeling somehing's missing in my life. I don't know what. Ah well, maybe it's just because the last paper for the exams was so anticlimatic. Or that i know there will be much tougher challenges ahead. We'll see...
